My Professional Side

Despite the humor, I am a professional writer who has more than 15 years experience in various editorial capacities. 

I was a writer and editor of national trade publications for seven years, with a combined circulation of more than 80,000 subscribers, predicting and publishing retail trends in the specialty gift, party, and stationery industries. I contributed more than 100 nationally published features a year and was also responsible for all additional editorial content of the magazines, websites, and e-newsletters.

After that I was the head writer and associate editor of a viral site, where I rigorously watched the Internet in order to find breaking stories that the audience would love and then wrote, edited, and published up to ten stories a day. All content was created with an eye for evoking emotions and humor and motivating shares that helped bring the website to one of the top ten mobile sites in the world.

I’m now a freelance writer whose personal work/tweets has been featured multiple times on Shopify, Vend, The Huffington Post, Scary Mommy, BuzzFeed, Reader’s Digest, The Today Show, Thought Catalog, YourTango, Bustle, The Erma Bombeck Writer’s Workshop, Someecards, Recycled Paper Greetings, and more.
